ELIJAH - My Wonderful Life.
It always amaze me , when I think about how time passes. As I look back, I cannot find that four years gone somewhere since I got this wonderful gift, my 'ELIJAH.'
She too amazes me, she makes me think of the wonderful God and a perfect Creator of the Universe. Eventhough Elijah is Autistic, I could never find any fault with her. She was created different and is special in many ways.
Almost four years now, Elijah do not speak . Most of the time when she wants to express her feelings or wants to give an opinion about something happening around , she is silent.
This behaviour to many Psychologists and Behaviour Analyst could be a sign of delayed development in communication (Maybe they are right). But for me I learned something from her silence and that is, SILENCE SPEAKS ,POWERFUL THAN WORDS. I give her more attention when she is silent, I understand her resentment, her disagreement, her unwillingness, her helplessness, her disappointment in me, her hurt, her opinion. I get them all what she cannot formulate into words.
What a wonderful God.... He is teaching me a new language, a language of silence.
What a wonderful God.... He is teaching me the value of patience and perseverance.
What a wonderful God.... He choose me to be the mother of a Special Kid.
Only with four years of experience in this world, Elijah taught me more than what I learned from 30 years of my life. I cannot thank enough the God who gave me Elijah. I cannot thank enough my beautiful daughter who takes and accepts her mother (me) with all her (my) faults.
What can I say?...WHAT A WONDERFUL LIFE, GOD HAS GIVEN ME THROUGH ELIJAH.
